Our Origin Story

Kit MacPherson founded Maple Leaf in 2010 with a vision to transform the property management experience. She began her professional journey with the launch of a property management division within her own father’s company after realizing that her passion was ignited in long-term relationship-building., Kit ventured out into the world of property investment and portfolio management. Motivated by the dynamic nature of motherhood and family life, Kit set out to launch a team-based approach to property management that would allow for flexibility in life and stellar, customized service to clients. She put relationships at the center and hasn’t looked back. Since then, Maple Leaf has grown to include Maple Leaf Real Estate, Maple Leaf Investment Properties, Rob Gasca Real Estate Group, and, in early 2022, the non-profit Home Together, to support families in need of housing while their child is in treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Our name, as you may know, harkens back to the very neighborhood where Kit was living when all this unfolded.

As a family-run business, we have great freedom to architect our own ways of being. We opt for craftsmanship over convenience, personal care over transactions, teams over individuals. This approach has earned us a reputation for being the most trusted property management partner in the Puget Sound.
